I’ve seen this exact title from this channel every August/September since the iPhone 12 was launched…

You are aware that Warren Buffet sold over $270 BILLION worth of Apple shares yesterday don't you ? Even here in Australia we heard about it.

I think Apple does need to delay their product launches. Maybe go to a 2 year cycle for the iPhone at least. Not only will this bring back the hype when new iPhones do get announced but it can save money and time for both Apple and the customers as resources can be more strategically delegated. Imagine how many iPhones from previous generations were never sold and would have to be dismantled just to reuse to resources for new iPhones. That is money and time Apple needs to spent on building an iPhone that never got used. Going to a 2 year cycle release schedule for products will allow better product production management and potentially keeping things affordable due to the savings obtained from this change. A 2 year cycle will most likely have people camping outside Apple stores again.. or website.

I’m a die hard Apple fan…fully engrained into their ecosystem of products. BUT, I agree that Apple has lost its “it factor” in a sense by having a convoluted product lineup. Frankly, it’s a little confusing and they could be doing a lot of things better/different! Tim Cook’s time has passed, and they need to stop “delays” and give people what they want NOW, vs. making us wait ten versions of iPhone to get something Samsung had a decade ago. Less, is often more!

Maybe tech company are not the problem, maybe we are, we don't seem to be satisfied with what we see anymore.

You can’t delay the 16 this close to launch especially as the base model of 16 will be Apple Intelligence enabled so it would cause them a lot reputational damage maybe delay the 17.

Also maybe separate out the various departments into full on divisions and create an umbrella company to interact with the money people.

Agreed apple is missing the innovation leap shown in the past, since it’s still the best OS in the market. Hope they wake up and return to the right path

The problem has very little to do with Apple, it’s just tech in general. Tech overall has stagnated in the consumer sector for many years now. A big part of that in my opinion, is the consumer. People are more and more happy with what they have so the Tech industry can remain complacent in doing iterative upgrades. Until people stop buying the latest this and the latest that, these companies will just continue doing what they are doing. When it comes to the iPhones in general, they have changed very little since the iPhone X / 10. People continue to buy them. Although the improvements they have made over the years have made the overall general experience better, people that desire that latest new thing, have been left wanting more. The problem, those type of people are less, and less. Although I agree with what you said, you are a tech enthusiast. The general public anymore could care less, and want something that is similar so they do not have to learn new things, or adapt to another new product. Society has become that way in general. I would assume that most people that watch your channel are also enthusiasts, or they would not be looking for the latest and greatest news about Apple products, the majority of people that own iPhones, and Apple products, which is proven out by their sales numbers, could care less about The New Thing. I had sold cell phones for almost a decade and saw this shift many years ago. Lastly Apple has never been at the forefront when it came to phone tech accept for the first iPhone. They have lived by the saying, we don’t do it first, but we do it the best. That has served them very well over the years with consumer’s agreeing. As someone once mentioned, there is only so much you can do with a slab of glass, the rumor of them doing a foldable phone next year, is a bit late to the party. Much like their last wearable thing. When competitors launched many of their products years ago, Apple was nowhere to be found. Now unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Items like that may have been seen as new or innovative now sit on store shelves. Apple comes in saying “Ours Is The Best One”. No one cares because that tech never caught on. It’s like the whole Fitness Ring craze. They are no where to be found, and by the time they get to launching one, the market will have already have been way over saturated with devices. Most already compatible with iPhones. Lastly, I often share your dismay with the innovation we have seen over the past many years, until people stop buying the same old thing, they will keep making the same old products.

13:49 1st) Apple should lower prices since they’re making more than enough profit and have been over decades, 2nd) Fix “Siri” on all devices to respond when spoken to first time with correct intelligent response to request, 3rd) get perspective from people that don’t live in their tech bubble but do blue collar work outside on how to make products better

They need to bring in a Flip version (should be flagship) to spice things up

I remember how exciting it used to be when a new iPhone was coming out. But by the same token. Phones do so much, it’s hard to imagine what path any sort of innovation would take.
I have a 13. And I plan to upgrade to a 16 Pro Max. After that, I probably won’t need to upgrade again until and if we get to a 20. Who knows…perhaps there’ll be some startling and provocative new innovations along the way.

It was just easier to innovate when the products were less feature rich, but now it´s hard to come up with something that´s not a gimmick. Big step would be to finally ditch iOS and iPadOS and base everything on the full macOS, they already share the same processors etc. that would be wild to run full desktop apps on any device.

I do agree to a point, the iPhone does feel stale. Looks and fees the same year on year and it does need a redesign and if that means delay then so be it

The iPhone 15 pro max reception/antenna was horrible. Went back to the 13. First time I’ve done that since my first Mac in 1985.
Maybe Apple should release products and OS updates when they are better and without bugs. Rather than on some arbitrary schedule.

No like a kid waiting on Christmas morning we wait for September to upgrade to the newest iPhone whether we need one or not. Don’t skip a year.

To say that Apple Vision Pro does not have a clear direction seems more than a little off the mark as Apple has clearly shown the world a hint of what is possible with Immersive Computing and while the developer based edition of this headset does not deliver on all fronts, it is pretty clear where it is all going. We will all be wearing immersive computing glasses in the next decade replacing the smartphone.

I really thought the Vision Pro Goggles were a cool idea until, when I bought my new iPad Pro, I spied the machine used to setup the prescription lensing on the goggles. Now my, less expensive, Nikon Z6II has a diopter on the view finder which adjusts for whatever/whoever's vision in a twist of the dial almost instantly. Why didn't Apple do this since the goggles would then have family (and friends) appeal and, hence, sell more (once the price comes down to a bit more realistic).

I prefer having my iPhone 11 or maybe upgrade to a 13 at some point
