The whole boob jokes thing. Nickelodeon was actually a lot edgier than Disney channel was. 
I always use Drake and Josh as a frame of reference for this, but Drake and Josh were so much like real teenagers. They would go to concerts, get fake ID's, complain about it being Saturday night and not being allowed to go out, they broke the law several times, and Drake had a new girl to make out with in practically every episode.

I've always loved how iCarly accurately predicted the randomness of internet humor, the constant yelling you'd find, and even some of the drama behind the scenes as other channels try to sabotage them or big corporations try to sell them out. Like I used to laugh at those episodes out of comedy and now I laugh at the uncomfortable truth and irony of it all.

Bazardvark is a pretty good example of how NOT to do the “kids on the internet show”. Disney couldn’t come close to the type of comedy Nick was using, and the time and platform ICarly came out on gave it the freedom to use the humor it did.
