Is THIS Why Nintendo Delayed The Legend of zelda Breath of The Wild 2?!

The legend of zelda breath of the wild 2 was recently delayed until spring of 2023 for the nintendo switch. the new zelda game was one of the new nintendo switch games than many nintendo fans were looking forward to. with the game using assets from botw 1, you have to wonder, why is it taking so long for botw 2 to have an official release date and release?

with new nintendo switch leaks about the nintendo switch pro / switch 2, could nintendo release the legend of zelda breath of the wild 2 alongside the new nintendo switch console? could that next nintendo console be revealed at the june Nintendo direct , even if e3 2022 was cancelled?

even though breath of the wild 2 was delayed, there are plenty more 2022 nintendo switch games coming up like xenobaldes 3, mario striker, nintendo switch sports and more new switch games. so i think nintendo will still do the e3 nintendo direct / june nintendo direct, which should include the legend fo zelda breath of the wild 2 gameplay trailer and loner gameplay at the nintendo tree house!

I have a theory about breath of the wild 2: I think the body seen in the trailers is not the body of Ganondorf at all. Instead, I think it's the body of the hero who defeated the Calamity 10, 000 years ago. Note that the ears don't match a Gerudo, and the long, flowing red hair matches the tapestry that we see of this hero.

I hope they populate the map with new villages maybe a city and a lot of side quests from npc. And that we get to use amibo like the first so we can use fierce diety etc

I also agree that there is a new console. I also believe Nintendo didn't lie when they said that the Switch was half way through its life cycle last year. That means they intend to cross Plat their releases for the next three years and just have a more powerful version to play games at higher resolutions and frame rate while supporting the base switch.

Nintendo always does planned Zelda delays to sell their next console. Am I the only one thing who has noticed this decades old pattern?

I think it got delayed because elden ring had so much hype around it this year. Nintendo likes being the center of attention so they delay it, take the opportunity to work on it more, release it without the shadow of elden ring looming over it.

While I would like that to be true; I think the real reason is to implement the newest version of that AMD upscaling tech for that game and because of this tech; they will probably further delay the release of the next Gen Switch. Of course; a possible middle ground is that next year they release another variant of the current Switch OLED; that comes with a 4K dock and even better utilize the AMD upscaling. I really hope that is not the case; as another small incremental upgrade will only further push back the real next gen Switch (with a better chip CPU/GPU and Nvidia DLSS).

Delay Reason?: Probably to polish physics or create extra content, let their other games have spotlight or because they might have a more powerful hardware model releasing alongside the sequel.
Reason for broken sword?; Definitely a curse or ganon or malice or link has to forge the sword at such and such because of such and such. It almost looks rotted away to me like cursed and shattered decayed and now it needs to be ..recreated. But who on earth can help link do that.
I think it will release end of March 2023 and one month later we will get told of a DLC Pack and that will annoy me. I don't want this year delay now if they insist on adding dlcs 🙄

It would be really cool if they brought back the upgrading the master sword from a link to the past and a link between worlds cause I absolutely adore a link to the past and love a link between worlds and bringing back that kind of mechanic would make the game more interesting

I'm seeing a pattern here. :/ Twilight Princess is a Gamecube game. Breath of the Wild is a Wii-U game. Those games were just ported over at the same time to sell the next console, too. I'm going to be VERY ANNOYED if they delay BotW2 for this reason. :/ They really need to stop doing that to Zelda. If they push Zelda to sell systems - then Nintendo needs to give the franchise more love like what they did with Mario during the franchise's respective anniversaries.

My dream explanation for BOTW2’s delay is that they’re developing some some sort of party system similar to Xenoblade Chronicles that would allow for playable, customizable Zelda, as well as Riju, Sidon, Yunobo, and Teba…but that’s probably unrealistic. Maybe they are working on adding dungeons and creating new areas to explore in areas of the map that were previously inaccessible. Maybe they’re having to work around voice actors’ schedules for the creation of new cutscenes that will help to tell a richer, more complex and active story than the first game had. Maybe they’re working out the kinks of the game’s economy so that buying, selling, and crafting is more realistic, and maybe weapons can finally be repaired before they break.

Or maybe they’re just making the game’s graphics look cooler. I don’t know. One can dream.

I wonder if they pushed it back not bc it’s not ready, but they intend to release a Zelda port in 2022 as well. They can make millions of dollars by porting over a game at minimal cost, and lets face it, BOTW2 is going to set records regardless if it dropped in November 2022 or Spring 2023.

I honestly agree with u 100%. I think a new switch will come out and that's why the delay for BOTW2. It will be the game to show off its new power / visuals. Plus Nintendo knows everyone wants that game so it will also help the sales of the new switch. Maybe even a buddle pack. Like Super Mario Odyssey was with the original switch.

I believe Like will travel to the past and become the hero of old and end up being his own forefather and creating his family line thus making him Link the "Link" and thus why he is the hero of the story. It would explain why the ancient hero looks like him and why his style looks different in clothing and hair.
