If you want to down town to the Bandung city center, it is better to stop in Padalarang station, west Bandung. Then take a free feeder train from Padalarang station to the Bandung city center. It will faster and cheaper than stop in Tegal luar, east Bandung.

From a consumer pov, compared to a flight, it's very convenient with no drama of getting to the airport, 1 hour waiting-boarding and luggage handling. Depart and arrival is punctual making a total of 20+20 mnt trip plus 1/2 hour waiting at the station, faster than a flight. And no hassle at all making you feel like it's just a train ride to the suburb, but actually you arrived in another city.

Indonesia needs to construct more such hi-speed train to connect its major cities. It will help develop Indonesian economy superfast and efficiently along these stops. 👍🇨🇳

It must be something very abrupt experience for most commuters. From the old rail to super HS rail. Thanks to China. Djoko has made the right decision for the future of the country. Indonesia past massive presidential corruptions see the country in stagnant progress. Djoko really cares for his people. The other archipelago country, Philippines, has suffered the same stagnant economy too for decades.

As I expected, CNA production always amateur specially covering about Indonesia 😂
Well, if you want to go the downtown/central Bandung you should stop at Padalarang station (it took only 30 minutes ride from halim station jakarta) then use the feeder train (it’s free) it took about 17 minutes, so the total time travel would be 47-49 minutes estimated.

Indonesia now really has something that America, Canada and Australia don’t have and probably won’t have in the next decades 😂

Bagus, Indonesia partnership with China in the high speed rail system. Smooth ride and impressive train interior plus safety. India didn't select the China speed train system, picked the Japanese rail system and having delays, incurred additional costs. India is left behind and Indonesia is ahead with the world best high speed rail system. Salute Indonesia, right decision.

Surprise to see CNA didn't mention anything about debt trap like each and every piece of their previous HSR news article. I guess this video was produced by Indonesian rather than Singaporean. That's why.

Vietnam refuses to cooperate with China in BRI fully, so now they have to wait until 2045 to have HSR (Japan). But that's an optimism. That could be delayed 5-10 years as no one else could do work more efficiently than Chinese...

I have watched several YouTube channels, it seems that the Indonesian panoramic train (made in Indonesia) provides a very beautiful experience and feel (the atmosphere inside the train and the views outside are amazing).

next project is to build public transportation to metro areas. Indonesia government apparently got a much bigger master plan then this HSR line, this line is to support next phase urbanization, so large cities won't need to become more crowded.
