The language is also called Sureth. We have many Sureth speakers in the Detroit area with a large Chaldean community. Assyrian, Chaldean are basically the same thing. Many of us are originally from Iraq. But there’s Chaldeans/Assyrians all over the Middle East.

This guy grew up in Glendale as full Armenian, even though his mother is Armenian and dad Assyrian. But he never forgot the Assyrian side of him. For that, Kudos to you Patrick.

For clarification, the Bible was not written entirely in Aramaic/Syriac/Assyrian. The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew, with a small fraction in Aramaic. The New Testament was written entirely in Greek.
