#Blue30 has arrived and at last Weezer fans will be able to experience the long lost music and images that have been gathered and curated into a very cool trip through the earliest days of the band's history. It would have been easy to simply repackage what's been released before, but this felt like too important of an opportunity to finally fill in the many unexplored and unreleased songs and stories from back then, so it was into the vaults we went for about as deepest a dive as was possible!

It's been an emotional trip, looking back over 30+ year old stuff, remembering the songs being played and recorded for the very first time, hearing (and smelling) the little Hollywood clubs again, recalling just how *small* everything in weezer world was back then. It was just a handful of friends and acquaintances, a fragile little scene that easily could have flamed out 10 different ways - both before and after getting signed!

Thank you to everyone who contributed stories, images, and ideas to the mix. And of course all our fans, from the "lifers" who were there in the early days to the newcomers. I am thrilled with how this thing turned out, and I think you will be too.

I love how this one’s progression from normal to "unraveling" is so much more extreme, the guitar is more slow and rivers voice slowly becomes louder and more raspy and angry, makes it all so much more complex and kinda unsettling

0:43 is my favorite part

The voices are overwhelming at first, but over time they become more relaxing to listen to

I got to take my daughter to her first concert. Weezer Journey to the Blue Planet tour in Columbus, OH this year. Getting to belt out all those songs with her was something I'll never forget!
