I'm fascinated by the combustion chambers on that trickflow.

Your knowledge is only matched by your class.
Marvin and Andy are such a good fit in your team, a "POWER TRIO" like CREAM!
David you are Clapton/Bruce and Andy&Marvin are Baker(it takes 2 for him)
I like the fact that every second is used, each moment is info dense.
A couple of watches or rewinds are required to catch it all.
I'd love to take a course just to learn.
You, Sir are priceless.
Meeting you is in the bucket.
Thanks to you, we are all becoming "ROADS" scholars!

Lucky enough to have learnt about port energy from David back in the late eighties, it is the fundermental baseline to building very powerful engines.

Love the comparison to bullet coefficientancy . Very common for guys now days to measure the impact at long ranges. Realizing "speed" carries more impact then diameter and weight. Even with a smaller 6mm projectile and 100 grain. The impact retains the energy way out past 1000 meters. Dont ask how i know that!

Looking forward to this. Back in the 70’s I ported my 302 heads. Installed 351W valves and ported to match. Still running strong.

Learning so much from all your vids DV. Just wish I could photographical remember it all and compile it all into my next two builds (yes, I've already read your head porting & how to build horsepower books). Heads are a big problem with the engine type I'm working with so what I'm learning is vital for me to build an efficient & powerful heads. And ultimately a powerful & torque laden built engine :)

DV, Thanks so much for all your instruction, I've been reading, listening and following along with everything you've done since the mid seventies, (yeah I know I'm really dating myself here). As a professional mechanic, engine builder, tuner and general all around hot rodder, everything comes down to....WWDV do? Thanks again, can't wait for the next installment!!

Another great video. Love the superior info that you bring to the table always. As an idea have you ever thought about doing a short video on some of the old orphan American V-8 engines of the past? I am thinking of your AMC engine file for 401, 390, 343, 304 and 290 engines. I think they deserve a dedicated video for AMX and rambler fans as I know there are many. Besides that maybe one more video grouping together all of the "other" lost V-8's that have driven into the sunset over the past 70 years like the Studebaker, Packard, International Harvester, Rambler 289, Buick Nailhead, Buick 215, Ford flathead V-8, early Hemi's, etc. I would love to hear your comments on these obsolete head and block designs and what can be done with them to improve performance. Sounds like great fun!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video!
Always look forward to what wisdom is coming in the next session. I've had your book for some time, but some facts stick better hearing them.
Cheers

300 CFM from a 175cc port is impressive. Could make for a quick little Fox body!

It would have been nice to include the iron GT40 and GT40P, both stock and ported. I'd be curious on your thoughts and the differences in performance in the changes that Ford made going to the GT40P head from the GT40.
