Fuego | Fire

2016 Fuego es una pieza desplegable, un Odiporikon, impresa en offset sobre hilado, en colaboración con Fernanda Larraín para su serie fotográfica Fuego. Ambrotipos realizados en la Reserva China Muerta en 2015 tras el incendio que dañó al menos la mitad del bosque. Fuego explora la forma en que vemos al sujeto a través de una cámara de placas -el sujeto al revés, girado a izquierda y derecha, y el resultado al revés-, acercándonos a su forma de ver y trabajar. En dos semanas muere la araucaria
y la güiña y el pudú escapan.
Bosque mutilado
Una tórtola anida en el vacío de un tronco quemado
La vida en un huevo promete expansión
Que vuelva el bosque, llama el chucao

2016 Fuego (Fire) is a fold-out piece, an Odiporikon, offset printed, in collaboration with Fernanda Larraín for her photographic series Fuego. Ambrotypes made at the China Muerta Reserve in 2015 after the fire that damaged at least half of the forest. Fuego explores the way we see the subject through a plate camera- the subject upside down, veered left and right, and the result upside up and back- bringing us closer to her way of seeing and working.
