49:31 The Cation of Sodium element would decrease because it would lose one of his electron and it will become stable whereas the atmoic size of chlorine would increase as there is one gain of electron

In parent atom (Na), atomic radius will be more in comparison of (Na+). It is because Na+ loses the electron.

In parent atom (Cl), atomic radius will be less in comparison of (Cl -). It is because Cl- gain the electron

In cation decrease in the size happen because it lose electron.
In anion increase in the size happen because it get electron .
Thank you ma'am

on google helium is the smallest atom mam and technically it is correct because effective nuclear charge is more

Mam electron revolves in a fixed orbit then how it attracts to the nucleus

Sodium ( Na) will have greater atomic size compared to chlorine ( cl) because along the periods atomic size decreases due to increase in nuclear charge and in the first group that is sodium has 3 orbits which prevents nucleus to attract electrons towards it due to greater distance and on the other hand chlorine has high nuclear charge and high tendency to attract electrons so in this way Na gets cation and Cl gets anion and forms NaCl
