The odds plummeted after he was announced, because fan favorite Ryk didn't win. However, I think that a lot of Eurofans just haven't had Isaak on their radar and are just discovering how great he is. Hopefully, this will also be reflected in the odds later.

The thing is that in Germany the majority of chart songs are not in German. Yes German-language Schlager and pop music is popular here but there is probably an equally large share of Germany who don't like German-language music at all and prefer songs in English. So as much as I get that you would like to hear a German song - Isaak's song perfectly reflects what is played on the radio in Germany. We are not France.

It always feels a little patronising when people tell Germans that German is a beautiful language. When at the same time there are lots of people who make fun of the way German sounds.

I am German and I am so happy... But he hast so much backlash over here...and this is why we get null points everytime..because Germans don't support what we send. What I love about him...he was pretty much the only one with not much staging...just light show.. same as ryk...but with ryk..(I love the song) the song is etherical and I think on a big stage...he would get a little lost... So this was the best choice... The rest was...well... One sounded like danish winner Emily de forest...even the title was similar. Only Galant was another one I wouldn't have minded sending...song was crazy and strange....but the performance was amazing....so maybe you can check Ryk and Galant out ❤
