I have 2 kids with dyslexia. They didn't start reading until 4th grade so we did lots and lots of reading when they were younger. It is because of them that I want to write children's books. I am also an artist and creating the artwork behind the story is exciting. I keep pushing my dreams away because I don't know how to make it a reality. Thanks so much for the video and confidence boost to do this. For them. For me. Someday people will find my stories and artwork hidden between the covers of a book.

Wow! That is so encouraging. I've wanted to be a writer all my life. I've submitted a few things but had them rejected and somewhere in my 50's I gave up. At 62 I'm driving my grandson to primary school daily and I'm feeling all the old yearnings. I love the energy you bring to this. You're very kind to put this out there. Thanks. I'm motivated now.

This was a lovely peptalk. Thank you. I have been self-publishing kids books for 3 years now, but it's been kinda stop/start and. alot of trial and error. I am ona. rcent mission to take it more seriously and really double down again. So this was very motivational. Thanks! I need to work on the marketing stuff. I have an instagram channel for my book brand, but that's about it. I have tried Amazon PPC, and paid Meta ads for my non-Amazon e-commerce site where I sell copies I print myself. It's really ineffective and I feel kinda stuck with it. But all in all, I'm very optimistic and determined to keep trucking

After my first published book rotting in the basement of Amazon I realize that I need to advertise first. I'm starting a children's book series and book #1 is done but getting re-formatted and illustrated. The book idea is better than the author. To write my age is sometimes; difficult. To write as a ten-year-old is way more difficult. It's getting done I hope, next week. But how can we market this on a very tight budget? How to start? I've thrown money at marketing before and lost out. Any ideas?
