I brought mine a couple of days ago in 2024. As this video is four years old, I will do some maths for you. If you are using the filter, you are supposed to replace it once a month at a cost of £19 over the space of four years, this would cost £912, not including the price of the unit. I do not use the filter, I just fix up to the max line. I have a smaller glass cup so I am on the first dial which means that I can have about seven or eight cups of coffee a day. However, it is hard to refill, especially if you have it against a wall like most normal people would so you have to treat it like a kettle and move it. Yes, you can us a jug but you still have to move it around to safely get the water into the jug. I will say, I am not sure if it is just me, but it tastes totally different than a kettle, an odd kind of taste. However, it works for me and it looks stylish, that is the only good thing about it. If you could fill the jug to the top that would have been a lot better but the rest is just a waste of space.

Bought a used one off eBay for an elderly relative with eye issues, saves her having to put her thumb in the cup when filling it up !. As we live in Yorkshire we don't really need filters as our water is super soft but bought one anyway as they are as cheap as chips on eBay just to stop any nasties that may arrive via the tap!. I wondered if the little silver / aluminium dispensing nozzle comes off for cleaning, seems to move around but not unscrew and I didn't want to swing off it. Anyone know if it comes off please let me know. Cheers.
