So glad you FINALLY made it! I am booked to go!! Family of 4, and a few other crazy stops. I added it up tonight that it's $80k worth of flights (TYO, Osaka, SIN, Bali, SYD, JFK...). Family business class travel on points is a whole other level of crazy. BUT now I feel it LESS necessary to lament over the lack of hotels for a family of 4 as most hotels consider a 13 year old an adult and more difficult to take advantage of anything related to Bonvoy in Japan. A bit frustrating, but I shouldn't complain. Looking forward to more of your Japan journey!!!

Hey, new change with AMEX MR + Marriott (Canada); Marriott will only accept points transfers from ONE AMEX MR account. So if you have multiple AMEX MR accounts (like BIZ plat + BIZ gold rewards + personal platinum, you can only have ONE of them sending points to Bonvoy) this renders your points useless with Marriott. Yes, I've HUCA.

It was really nice to be able to go back to Japan after a little over 2 years to see my relatives again and see Kyoto with minimal turists. Still saw screen dividera and other covid related policies but no max capacity related to covid. Still a lounger flight from Europe than usual since you have to fly around Russia.
