In ∆ AOP,
AO² = OP² + AP²
AP² = AO² - OP² (1)
In ∆ BOP,
OB² = OP²+ PB²
OA² = OP² + PB² (OA = OB = radius)
PB² = AO² - OP² (2)
From (1) and (2), we get
AB² = PB²
Hence, AB = PB
So, when OB = PB, it can proved that P bisects AB.
