Well to be fair Halle Bailey did not talk about the Little Mermaid as harshly as Rachel about Snowhite but she sort of insinuated that it was outdated and not feminist enough. There's also that whole thing where she caused a bunch of her fans to send death threaths to a pregnant nail salon woman because according to them she was being racist against her.

I feel Disney might be better off cutting their losses, scrapping the film, and just re-releasing the original Snow White in the theaters.

She thinks that the problem is that the fans were having a bad day and not that she sounded like a condescending jerk in her D23 interviews. Then she doubled down on all of that. She is a classic gaslighter and that's why fans resent her. We won't be talked down to and then told that we're the problem.

Zeglers career is over. She is almost certainly shadow blacklisted at this point. As far as Disney goes, there is no amount of damage control they can do to fix this problem. The movies and Disney themselves aren't going to be allowed in my home anymore.

When i saw Halle Bailey get cast initially the race swap irritated me but after Beauty and the Beast I was happy they at least got an actual singer for the role.

5:33 it's not really the same. People didn't know much about the remake of Snow White. For most of us the first thing we saw about the remake was that the actress they cast hates the character in her original form and she even suggested that a cast member could get fired. Halle reacted to something in a bad way, I can understand that she probably felt insecure about being in a project that people don't like and one reason is her casting as the main character. The racism accusations are unfounded but at least she reacted, Zegler just started punching everyone including Disney and her fellow actor unprovoked

Halle Bailey should stay away from Rachel Zegler. Rachel is toxic (evidently soooo) and Halle will be identified with Rachel's toxicity. If you have a child and she starts hanging out with the wrong crowd at school you know that it cannot end well. Either your child will end up being abused or will start absorbing the bad traits that the problem crowd has and will become a problem child herself. The best thing to do is to intervene and not let them hangout together. I know that they wanted people to think that Rachel's toxicity is wearing out but it has not. She only comes across as hypocritical and even more toxic and cynical than before.

What makes people dislike Rachel more is that she gave no apology statement for her previous comments. It's all so sudden & 180 degrees difference out of nowhere. That makes her seem ingenuine & artificial. Who's her manager & public-speaking coach? Somebody fire them because their plan doesn't work.

This is actually super insufferable and far too late for repairs. Disney should simply scrap the entire production, but they're already hemorrhaging money. When I first heard Zegler's comments months ago, I was okay with the backlash. Now that she's in damage control, I kind of feel sorry for her. I've never seen her work, but I know when I was younger I said a lot of stupid things.
