One of the very Rare occasions we can see a proper BMW M1 ProCar in action and driven to its limits, at Gurnigel Bergrennen we were blessed with Michael Kammermann bringing his incredible sounding BMW Legend and delivering a spectacular performance with it. With the Inline 6 Naturally Aspirated Engine screaming all the way to 9.000Rpm and delivering 470Hp, you can add the uniqueness of a proper H-Pattern Gearbox being handled exquisitely and exploring the grip limits of this Mid-engined Classic in a beautiful piece of Mountain Road. In the case we might not ever see something like this ever again due to the ever increasing cost of a machine like this, here we leave this bit of film that certainly deserves all the praise from the fans...

My favourite race car. It's so good to see one driven in anger nowadays. This are as rare as they are expensive. One of my best childhood memories is being on the top of a metal structure to cross over the track of Vila do Conde (Portugal), and Mario Silva passing below full throttle in his Chocolates Imperial livered M1...the whole metal thing shaked as they were so loud.

BMW's M1, truly a timeless machine, exquisitely beautiful and superbly functional. No paddle shifters, no sequential gearbox, just a conventional H-pattern coupled to that beautiful raucous in-line 6 cyl.

And Kammermann drives his machine to the limit, whilst appearing completely relaxed, all while rowing the shifter with lightning quick precision.

This is absolutely the best six cyl BMW motor and that sound!!!! First time I saw an M1 I was gobsmacked by its beauty. This pro car version just took it to another level.
