So, Mike, you finally convinced me to buy a miniskid. I ended up getting a Skag Jackal, specs up there with all the big names. Kubota 25-hp, 1100# lift capacity, big fuel tanks. But what sold me was they're manufactured in Wisconsin, and the dealer is only 5 miles away for support. I already have a couple a Skag mowers, and the dealer is also my Stihl dealer, so we're on a first-name basis. He's a neighbor. I couldn't buy Chinese.

Hi Mike! I will be 80 years old on May 31, and you are so right about getting on and off or out of my skid loader. It is such an effort now that I am not as agile or strong as I used to be. Also, I have a small B1550 Kubota yard tractor, and getting on and off it is quite a feat for me. I think one of these Mini Skids would work perfectly for me. The only drawback I can see has nothing to do with the Mini skid, it has to do with my age and the investment I would have to shell out. I wish I were younger and knew about this Mini skid. Thanks for showing all of us and hopefully it will help a younger person make the decision to purchase one of these machines. Thanks for taking us along! J.R.

I’ve been watching your channel for many years and I’m not a big commenter . I was back in the day when you got your first sawmill and I loved it. I do have a little bit of land, sawmill, track, loader and other equipment. I just wanted to say your last three videos have been spot on And I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work Mike.😮

Although I have no need for such a unit, I think it's fantastic that you take the time to review equipment like this so others can make an informed decision.

I do love my 1025R TLB that I’ve had for 3 years. With that said, if I was buying today, I would get a mini-skid. Reason is the ease of on and off, the multiplication of attachments, and better lifting capacity. I’ve really enjoyed watching you with your Vermeer.

Looking forward to more. Thanks . One comment. Mike does not need to keep the hours low on that Vermeer. They are tanks and should be. I cannot justify a Vermeer because I am not set up to be able to do money jobs with it. That Vermeer is an exceptional tool but I cannot justify the purchase. On this skid steer if I can maintain it and fix it then the math works. I do not have open fields to cut but I have a lot of thick woods and fencing projects. These things with the right attachment will clear some brush.

Kanga owner here. Made in Australia and they are building an assembly plant in the US. No electronic problems like you had on your Vermeer. Kanga does have electric start. Super simple machine and robust. I am sold on Kanga.

It's very impressive, but my only question is, what about factory support and replacement parts?

These are nice machines. I've been looking into them. Biggest obstacle I see is having to unload it. You had a nice big forklift. I doubt if many other homeowners do. I know I don't.

I agree with you that the easy of getting on and off these are so much better than a tractor I am working dirt with a TC45DA loader and getting on and off moving rocks is so tiresome vs a mini skid I want one 😊

Beats the old 2-wheel Gravely tractors! I love my Gravely's.... but, man. You can't beat how easy it is to swap attachments compared to my gravely's...

I truly think tight spaces are the real proving ground for mini-skids. A lot of the area I work in is close quarters and using a full size machine is absolutely nerve racking! Thanks for sharing this company with us! And extra thanks for the affiliate link.

It would be perfect for moving boats, either diy hitch off the bucket or a custom attachment. I know it would be awesome at it

Pretty neat. But even an RK 37 for around the same price i get more use from. All machines have their place.
Another tool in the tool box👍

Hi Mike. Nice machine. I do find the Chinese made " noisier." Also. Depending on the " needs" of a mini skid customer. I would start out w/ a Vermeer. If I need a smaller one. Why not!? I wasn't a " big" popular brand company guy. Sometimes. The competitors are just as " good." Some cases. Better performances. Thanks Mike. Say Hi to Melissa, Melissa's dad, Eva, Hunter, Levi, Kate, Tyler, Hannah, Carl & Mike's niece. Everyone have a good Saturday the 15th. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☀️

I’m very impressed with that machine. At 76, it would be a great addition to my woodyard and channel. Getting on and off the tractor isn’t as easy as it used to be! I’d be interested to see if it could lift a full tote high enough to stack totes two high.

Good morning. Gotta get a tractor, or something, for the new place. And there are LOTS of expensive toys and tractors (do I repeat myself?), so seeing something like this is appreciated - and timely. Looking forward to a few more videos showing its capabilities. Thanks Mike!
