Grey's anatomy (Season 01 Episode 02)

Grey's Anatomy is an American medical drama television series focusing on the personal and professional lives of surgical interns, residents, and attendings at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital, later named the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

The series premiered on March 27, 2005, on ABC as a mid-season replacement. The show's title is an allusion to Gray's Anatomy, a classic human anatomy textbook.

The original cast consisted of nine star-billed actors: Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, T. R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Isaiah Washington, and Patrick Dempsey. For most of its run, the series revolves around Dr. Meredith Grey (Pompeo), chronicling her progression from surgical intern to fully-qualified doctor to the hospital's chief of general surgery.

The cast has undergone major changes throughout the series' run, with only three original members remaining by the 19th season - Pompeo, Wilson, and Pickens. Pompeo stepped back from the series in its 19th season, at which point the show shifted to more of an ensemble format.

Grey's Anatomy has two spin-off series: Private Practice (2007-2013) and Station 19 (2018-2024). Other shows which may parallel in plotline and medical dramatics would be programs like ER, which ran from 1994 to 2009, overlapping early seasons of Grey's Anatomy.

Echo is so easy to do.no pediatrician says no need for an echo if the baby is turning blue.

Imagine being the mom hearing your child's doctor say they're only 75% sure your baby is fine

The only explanation the doctor should need is “he’s blue.” Even if the problem would correct with age, the baby isn’t compensating well enough.

Its so scary to know that some doctors would rather argue and act by thier ego insted of checking on the patient again. "You can guarantee he is fine, 100%?"
"How sure are you?" "Idk 75%" is terrifying to hear from the doctor taking care of your baby"

Dr did that with me as a kid. Told my mom I was just acting out as i was screaming and crying, he walked by checked asked if he was done with me, and admitted me. I had a tumor the size of half a football near my spin. It doesn't hurt to check and make sure there is 100% nothing wrong when another dr may see something you do not. A life is litterly in your hands and it can be life or death.

The scene features Meredith Grey, a surgical intern, who's disturbed by something. She visits the baby's room to calm down and notices a baby having trouble breathing. Despite being a first-year intern, Meredith checks the baby and finds that their breathing isn't normal. Another intern, dressed in purple, dismisses Meredith's concerns, but Meredith persists. She talks to the baby's parents behind the other intern's back. When Meredith brings her concerns to Dr. Preston Burke, a cardiothoracic surgeon and head of department, he initially ignores her, saying, "It's not our job to intervene unless the attending physician specifically asks us to." However, he later helps Meredith to show off his skills to the chief. Ultimately, the baby is diagnosed with a heart murmur, a birth defect, and after surgery, the baby recovers well, and everything turns out fine.

Dr Grey was actually right bout what she did n that freaking nurse didn't even care to run anymore test on the baby at all saying it will go away as he grows seriously I would want more test done to be sure instead of them thinking that it will go away

The medical system is so screwed this has probably happened to a kid somewhere. And the hospital doesn't even get sued most of the time I've seen them hurt people.

Damn, she refuse another doctor to treat the baby or run some test yet she herself not quite sure that the baby is fine . This kind of doctor should not hired in any hospitals.

Maternity DR says she's only 75% sure that the baby is fine, and nothing less than 100% is suitable. How many babies died because of her guesses.
