Fun fact, if you have the doggo for your primary archetype or any other death prevention effects you only die once before you get the heart. :D
That means that its theoretically possible to never actually die while consuming this.

IDK if the black cat ring would proc off of this or not, because IDK if it counts as you taking damage or just as an instant death mech, but off the top of my head I can think of the doggo, Alchemist's Water's of Life (lvl 10 ability), and possibly the Thaen seed after it grows into a fruit? Though IDK if that follows the same logic as the Black Cat ring or not. To be safe, on a hardcore character, you'd just rez yourself with one of the other two mentioned options twice.

Can you plant the fruit instead of eating it at the Ward 13? Would that give you anything? Can you use the fruit anywhere else in the game? (Sometimes devs are sneaky like that, giving you something to use on yourself while also using it elsewhere for some other reward.)
