Turkey's Lake Salda may yield answers for life on Mars

Scientists have been using Lake Salda, a famous tourist spot in Turkey, to work out what they might find when NASA's Mars rover, Perseverance, lands on the red planet.

Mars is similar to Earth in terms of how it was formed, with only one difference:

On Earth the tectonic plates are always moving, even if you can't feel it but on Mars, the entire crust is one huge solid plate and you will have very big mountains like Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the Solar System, now extinct due to no volcanic activity there
