In this video, we dive into the long history surrounding the Ouija board. From ancient techniques used in China, spirit writing/psychography, early spiritualism, the Fox Sisters, Kennard Novelty Company, and everything leading up to the modern-day Ouija board.

I refuse to mess with Ouija boards because why tempt fate? Having said that, my mom told me that decades ago, she and my dad used one. She asked it what would happen to our family. The board said we would all die in 1983. My mom then asked if we would be in a car accident together. The board said no, the world would end. Yeah, didn't happen.

When me and my cousins were younger i say about early teenage years we decided to download the ouija app on my uncle’s tablet we ofc were skeptical until we opened the app and nothing happened at first. Then my cousins LED lights turned off. We checked the controller which was all the way across the room on a desk. The plug ins were all turned on and all of them were plugged in fully. Until we checked the one under the bed. Which was completely unplugged there was no obe that could’ve possibly unplugged that it was honestly terrifying!!

I always thought the ouija board was a game - until the night my two cousins and went to use it the pointer actually moved and we weren’t guiding it - the next day the board and box went into the trash and I haven’t touched one since - my story

You asked for a true Ouija experience, so here's mine:

When I was a kid, I became interested in "spooky" things, ghost stories, etc., and asked for and got a board as a Christmas (!) present, if I remember correctly. I hadn't a clue what to do with it, but as a child my mother had some experience with a homemade version in the 1930s so one evening we sat down at the kitchen table to try it out. I had no idea what I wanted to ask of it, but my mother suggested that the way to start was to ask if anyone was there. The planchette moved with extreme slowness but eventually made its way over to the "Yes." So we asked a follow-up question: "Do we know you?" I think we were both expecting a name of some sort. The planchette, however, still moving very slowly, spelled out, "I KNOW YOU."

I was completely dismissive of Ouija boards, then started asking questions I knew the other two people wouldn't possibly know. After it answered all of them correctly I decided to go across the room and join in. If you're thinking about using a Ouija board, I beg, plead, and implore you not to do it. Shit wasn't right for a few years after we messed with one.

This was years ago but me, my older brother and friend bought the glow in the dark Ouija board from K Mart. We played it in the basement with all the lights turned off because the board glowed in the dark anyway. So we asked questions and everything but nothing really happened.

The next morning I remember waking up super late and my brother told me we have to throw the Ouija board into the river. When I asked why, he said because he and our mom found all the living room chairs blocking the front house door and backyard door. It was blocked in a way where the chairs were under the doorknobs.
