I used to have an ad on like this for my GBA SP when I was a kid.

So, what does the gameboy do? The screen isn't used, the speakers aren't used, you can't play games while listening, the buttons aren't used ... the batteries are used? That's it? Use your gameboy as a battery (batteries not included)? What a weird thing to get excited about.

Does it turn radio into 8bit sounds? That would be cool.

Lol, gotta love Mark! Also, the typo in the title makes it even more funny

You can still use the Game Gear's TV Tuner (or any other pocket TV), you just have to hook it up to a DTV converter box.

Many portable TVs have an antennae input for using an external antenna, but for those that don't (not sure if the TV Tuner has one or not): cut one of the ends off of a coax cable, strip a few inches off insulation off, wrap the exposed wire around the TV's antenna, and plug the other end into a converter box.

Of course, you'll also have to modify the converter to run on batteries, but this is easily accomplished as most of them don't run on much juice.  kipkay has a video showing you how.

There's a TV adaptor for the Game Boy Advance too.

Heck, I have an AV adaptor for the GBA myself. It's a neat little device. I also had a little sound amplifier that had a louder speaker than the one built in. That was cool too.

I had one back in 7th grade. I even listened to it in class before.

I have one called a tiny tuner, and it works on all my gameboys, even the advances. And i can play games while listening.

I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio.

Oh shit, I used to own this. From what I remember it picked up signals fairly well and you had clear sound. Clipping it on and off the gameboy was a bit of a hassle though, and the plastic hinges on the side eventually came off due to a lot of applying on and off. Still worked, just came off more easily.

@ John Smith, radio frequencies travel far beyond earth, out into the depths of interstellar space.

I had one also, but like any little kid wanting a new game I sold it to eb games along with my gameboy collection. What I would do to have everything I ever sold to those stores back.
