Simon Mugglestone, 1987 Euro U20 5000m champ, on the comeback trail

Simon Mugglestone won the 1987 European under-20 title at 5000m and has PBs of 3:58 for the mile, 7:47 for 3000m and 13:28 for 5000m.

He stopped running for 30 years after Achilles surgery but has made a successful comeback in the last couple of years as an M55 runner based in Devon.

He ran 5:09.99 at the Bannister Miles meeting on May 6 – his first race at Oxford's Iffley Road for many years!

I'm racing him in a 1 mile tomorrow, I was looking at the start list and was really intrigued by the results so decided to look into him more and his story is quite brilliant
