The RS has a single mass flywheel so you get a lot of chatter at tickover. Also the Mezger engine has cam chain rattle at tickover and at revs under 2, 000rpm. I did take my car back when I first got it because I thought there was something wrong with it. (Gen.1 997 Turbo). Parking sensors are not an option on the RS cars. You could spec them on the 997 GT2 and the 997 GT3. RS cars are meant to be lightweight.

Interesting drive. I sold my 997 S recently and was wondering do the new 911's have any engine issues. Is this GT3 one that has had the new modified engine fitted from the factory or had a new replacement engine fitted on the fire recall?

Re the parking sensors: I guess the main reason these cars don't have parking sensors is because they are supposed to be driven on the track or on the B-road, at speed and with a huge smile on your face.

Not a single one time when I used to have my 997 GT3, have I though, jeez .. I know what's wrong, I am missing parking sensors. Not once.

I suggest you get something like a Bentley Continental or Maserati Grand Coupe to drive around London. Leave the Porsche GT cars for Silverstone and Brands Hatch, will you please?

Why there are no parking sensors? Maybe the bumper has something to it, like installing it or something. Ask Porsche dealers when servicing and they can put it through ;)

It is very easy to pul the valves on this car. Search for "Matt Moreman" on youtube he has a video about disconnecting valves on the GT3
