Died so young but became such an ambassador of her species and time. I believe there is also a male cave lion cub in a similar condition but from about 15, 000 years before her.

I’m not sure how to explain it, but these days, discoveries like this make me feel really emotional. There’s so much profound beauty within it.
To think that this little animal’s body was so well preserved, that it “survived” for 28, 000 years, unblemished and untouched… I lack the language to describe what I feel.
This planet we live on is so beautiful, so ancient, with so many mysteries we may never solve, and countless discoveries left to find. I just *really* wish we took better care of our Mother Earth.

That's insane how it could be preserved that long. Makes me think how many other specimens are frozen perfectly in time for tens of thousands of years. Things we've never even seen drawings of or fossils of. That would be insane.

That is super rare, Yuka the best preserved mammoth doesn’t look as good as this. One in a million chance right there

its actually kind of sad to think about, it looks like its a cub, and probably lost its mother and died lonely and sad and probably hungry and just laid there for its final moments :(
