Gating a vocal track | smart:gate

Unlike conventional gate plug-ins, smart:gate’s processing doesn’t focus on the overall level of the input signal, but is triggered by a designated target source. This comes in very handy, when working on vocal tracks with microphone rumble and bleed from instruments. smart:gate only opens up, when it detects activity of the chosen target source – in this case vocals. I try it now but I don't find something for example to copy characteristics from one full song and use it to another. Or it's not for full mixes? Two friends of mine told me that all these plugins are only for separate parts (stems) kick, snare, bass, vocals etc. I hoped to be also for vinyl restoration. Hoping in the future to have in normal prices plugins for vinyl restoration (because there are many greek vinyls that never released in compact disc, and even greek record companies download from youtube these albums to put these on spotify or apple music)

Tja, ist leider sehr gut, wenn man ein wenig mit den Einstellungen herumspielt, die nicht für alle Quellen default perfekt funktionieren. Schon wieder Kohle nach Österreich überwiesen ... 😊

P. S.: Mit Eurer Website stimmt was nicht: Beim Bestellvorgang steht unten auf der letzten Seite ("Checkout - your order has been received") der Hinweis "There has been a critical error on this website.". Ist wohl irgendein

this is, sorry to say, rubbish. It is not better than any of my current gates. Looks marvellous, but that doesn't help when its performance is mediocre. A shame, I wanted this to be good.
