I play tested A cure for what ails you at my local board game meetup! Was really fun with great art and theme. Glad to see it's finally hitting the table

A Cure for What Ails You! I had the pleasure of playtesting this last year at B-Con. I am happy to see it getting some much deserved exposure. Thank you, Foster the Meeple for not sleeping on this gem!

As a kid, those Sears Christmas Catalogs were the best thing ever! My parents always tried to hide it from me.

As always, thanks for your video ❤ Those short reviews are always very helpful and I appreciate them a lot.

The more I see of Seers Catalogue, the more I want to play it. Due to me growing up next to a NATO air base with many American and Canadian families around me, I do even know the catalogue the game references. I don't think that makes me enjoy the gameplay more but at least I can appreciate the artwork/theme a bit more.

A Cure... sounds VERY interesting. I will definitely have to look at that a bit more. Dark humour is kind of my thing. And I really like asymmetrical gameplay.

As a former avid poker player (I qualified for the Australian Open once... long story) The Gang seems to be a game for me as well. I was a bit sceptical because I don't really like The Crew as well but since you still enjoy The Gang, Jeff, I might as well.

General Orders is not a game I would have looked at more than once since I have never played any war games. I wouldn't say that I'm against trying them but I'm not that interested in the theme and don't really know any people whom I could try them with.

I love River of Gold! I played it a few times on BGA and am finally getting what I'm doing. And it looks so beautiful! It is definitely one of my favorite games of 2024 so far.

The Gang sounds really neat, and I'm glad yall enjoy it over The Crew. Hopefully Max pulls the trigger on getting it soon 😂

Thanks for the fun review! By the by, we're pronounced /RIZ-ible/. No biggie, though; we hear Risable all the time. :D

I've seen a lot of people talking about River of Gold (including myself), but I'm also biased cause my friend works for Office Dog so I take extra notice whenever anyone mentions it 😆

I'm about to get General Orders to the table, but I've played a simulated game (playing both sides), and I can't wait to play it for real. It may become one of my favorites, because of the decision space, tactics, duelling nature, and small footprint.

Glad you enjoyed General Orders. Did you prefer one side of the board over the other?

I wish A Cure for What Ails You had more than 4 characters! My monthly Girl's Night group would love this. (Deadly Dowagers has become their favorite game, so clearly morbid humor & themes are right up our alley.)
And River of Gold is so fantastic on BGA. Some day I hope to get to play it in person!

I very much love Seers, but I do think it may mislead people on calling it a trick taker because it really *isn’t* a trick taker. It’s a climbing/shedding game, and there are a lot of overlaps, but Seers really isn’t a trick taking game at all. It’s a great game regardless. :)

You should definitely try balatro on PC or console if you like poker. I'm excited to try the gang!

Stardriven looks interesting. I liked set a watch so will check this out.

Not so sure I like the tile flipping of a tile in the middle of a bunch of other tiles. Typically pretty easy to mess up the entire board trying to flip the tile.

Do any of these games have solo modes?
