With the unprecedented success of the 2020 live-action sonic the hedgehog and the latest release in the franchise -Sonic the Hedgehog 2- which quickly became the highest-grossing video game movie ever made in the US, passing its predecessor with $147 million domestically. Taking its well-deserved crown, there is no sign of the Sonic franchise screeching to a halt anytime soon.

Over the years we’ve seen multiple Sonic spin-off games brought to us, including Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic Boom. And as much as fans around the world love the games brought to us by Sega, fans want to see more hit our screens.

Of course, we’re not saying we don’t want to see Sonic anymore. But, after appearances from popular characters in the latest live-action movies, and with the hype building around the anticipated Knuckles series, we want to see more of the blue hedgehog's friends in the spotlight. With the Sonic Cinematic Universe beginning to take shape here are our top 7 picks for Sonic characters that deserve their own live-action spin-off.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 2022 action-adventure comedy film directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on the video game franchise published by Sega. The sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), it stars Ben Schwartz returning as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, with the rest of the cast consisting of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba, and Jim Carrey. 2. Ever since Sonic Lost World, Amy hasn't really been shown as an obsessive fangirl, outside of one throwaway gag in an episode of Sonic Boom.
3. You said that Silver can undergo a Super transformation using the Chaos Emeralds, "unlike Sonic and Shadow." Sonic and Shadow do use the Chaos Emeralds to attain their Super forms.
4. Why is a character from a crappy creepypasta that isn't even affiliated with Sega deserving of a spin-off series, but not Tails (who could easily have a story about being more independent) or Rouge (jewel thief turned government agent)? That isn't even taking into account the legal trouble of using a fan character.

If silver got a spin-off I’d want it to be about him going on missions in his own time and at the very end of the season finally he would see the vision of his world being destroyed and then go back in time to where sonic 06 takes place. Or him and blaze go on missions throughout time

The problem with Amy being scaled back in my opinion is that it is thanks to Sonic she became who she is. Yes, she's obsessive but look how powerful she became because of it. To be with Sonic, to catch up like Tails did, she HAD to improve herself. Becoming faster, stronger, smarter... she had to catch up somehow and this is the path she chose.

I think they should introduce Amy in the knuckles show then knuckles and Amy can team up and Mabye have a brother sis relationship. then he talks about sonic then Amy would wanna meet him so she would go back to earth with him then they don’t have to worry about introducing her backstory in the 3rd movie
