Thank you for giving the Mach E a very fair and honest review. I own an extended range rear wheel drive Mach E and fully agree with yyou regarding braking and hope that Ford can make some corrections to it with an over the air update. The other thing I might mention is that I've heard that the range numbers advertised by Tesla for the model Y tend to be over stated. Range is a tough one because it is so weather and elevation dependent. In my case I think that Ford tends to be a bit conservative with their range numbers. On a recent trip I was getting 3.7 mpkh which in theory would give me a projected range of over 325 miles. That's on flat terrain and an outside temperature of 65 degrees F. I drive with one-pedal turned off because I prefer the coasting and besides when I apply the brakes I do get regen back to the battery. I really like the Mach E a lot and I think Ford really nailed it.

Absolutely love your honest review, especially coming from a Tesla owner. I honestly think both cars are good and it may just come down to preference as for which one is better. For me, it's just the fact there's TOO MANY model y s on the road . I have a Mach e and yet to see another one on the road over a month of driving it .

Other reviews have found annoying problems with charging network functionality, and very quick ramp-down from max charge rate. The other complaint I've seen repeated is about the nav system, which can be balky and does not always show charger locations. These are only an issue for longer trips, and most people will charge most of the time at home. But if you want to visit family located, say 100 miles away, the Tesla charging system is more ubiquitous, cheaper, and more reliable. And because Model 3 or Y has longer usable range, you will likely need to charge less often.The other thing to note at least for this year is time of delivery. I was quoted a 3-month wait in mid-March, and I need a replacement car quickly. So, although Mach-E would have been a bit cheaper, I opted for LR Model 3, which was delivered in about 3 weeks. That said, the Mach-E is a superb first effort for Ford, and it will get better.
