This is Session 1.1 of the Hydrologic Engineering Center's 1D Steady Flow class. It covers model selection between steady and unsteady flow and some examples of 1D steady flow models (including encroachments and ice modeling) as well as HEC-RAS file management.

This talk is part of the steady flow class, but most of it is applicable to 1D unsteady flow.
