TD, thanks again for a great guide! I had tried setting this up last month after my RP3+ came, but was getting very slow performance and bad audio stuttering. These settings, especially Threaded Video, made ALL the difference. Even Super Metroid Wide patch runs well now - not perfect, but I am sure some tinkering will do the trick. Thanks again for another great video!

Already knew about bsnes and gxwide, however watching the TD explain it is always entertaining. Be interested to see what you can do with the RP3+ and skyline.... I've only been able to get 'slain' to work, but I dont have many switch roms (totally legal have cartridges to prove it🤓), same process to patch Genesis streets of rage 2 with TMNT shredders revenge

ty for the guide, was easy and quick but bittersweet. my main draw to retro games is the retro achievements and upon finishing set up I learned this patch doesnt include them.

That seems like a lot of steps to go through for this. Wish it were easier 😞 I don't (often) play games on my phone because if I'm going to carry around a wraparound phone controller, I may as well carry around a dedicated pocketable device instead (currently that's the RG353M). My ideal pocketable device doesn't have a widescreen so that leaves playing something like this for my Steam Deck. I like the idea of playing this game in widescreen but I don't know that I would spend my steam deck time playing this game. However, in addition to wanting to play SMW in widescreen, I also really like the idea of playing SNES F-Zero in widescreen! Maybe it's time to just put the wraparound controller on an old phone and just leave it sitting around the house for just playing those two games :D

This is really neat. Thank you I will have to try it. That being said, the game boy advanced version of this game is almost 16:9. And looks pretty good too on the rp3+

Thank you! Ive been trying to figure this out. RP3+ now seems to hold at 60 fps, but interestingly the Odin Lite still runs down to the low 50s at times.

Edit: I had a 4x filter on the Odin lite, after disabling it, it runs great now. Subscribed!
