I have been looking at how to soften the noise of the trains and soften the base for ages. Racked my brains trying to avoid WS trackbed and cork strips. Why did I not think of this. Doh! Brilliant, just the solution I needed. Thank you very much.

May I also ask if this is 2mm you are using as I still want to pin or screw my track down. What kind of paint did you use on the cork and what colour is it as I really like that colour. Thanks. Steve.
