US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken holds news conference

Anthony Blinken discusses the importance of ambassadors in an attempt to encourage the Senate to advance dozens of State Department nominees.

The US Secretary of State also answers questions on Ukraine following the announcement that Russia will end its deal on grain. He adds that Russia is "weaponising food".

I visited Salt Lake City once and went to the local trourist information office. A former newspaper editor was on duty that day. We got talking and I mentioned I was from the U.K. He asked me what ordinary folks thought about America with George W Bush as president.
