About JamesandKarla:

Hey everyone! We are husband-and-wife architectural/interior photographers based in NYC. We started our video channel to act an artistic intervention to help raise awareness of the importance of small independently-owned businesses and the unique character these shops add to the streets and neighborhoods of New York City.

In our videos we will showcase portraits of storefronts and shop owners in New York City & beyond and capture moments of city life that capture the spirit, energy and cultural diversity of individual neighborhoods. We also bring our dog, Hudson along whenever we can.

We made it our mission to thoroughly document unique 'mom-and-pop' stores when we began to notice the alarming rate at which they were disappearing. Thanks for the great walk around Harold Square. First our heroes walk around Macy's, unfortunately they holiday windows were nott finshed, so they walked inside the first floor and saw an prop tree and owl that moved his head around. Then they walked around a little to see the booths dedicated to Gucci, Micheal Kor and Luis Vidon. They they went outside and walked around the store and saw some holiday windows dedicated to Legos, Barbie and Santa Playland. Then they got a hotdog for Hudson but it was cold, so they went to their favorite Hotdog vendor and got Hudson a hot one. They then walked to Greeley Square and looked at their clean bathroom and them decided to walk down 6 Ave to The Nomad District, where they past by "Handroll Dinner", "Superior Florist" and the place where "The Jazz Loff" used to be. All the way, admiring the architecture. They then decided to go to the "Chelsea Flea Market" where they went over all the stuff they had to offer. They then passed Madison Square Park to look at the trees and it's dog run. Afterwards they ended the livestream. Thanks for sharing this with us and enjoy the rest of your day
