I found an emerald ring at a yard sale
Told the lady. She cried her eyes out saying it had been lost for many years.
Another time I saw a statue that said it was glass. It was a huge foot high piece of blood red carnelian. A wedding statue probably for royalty.
I told the store owner and let him know he needed to add a comma to the price. He gave me things for many years after that, out of gratitude.

The bracelet you showed screams imitation Celtic torq (torque) to me. Love watching you. In all my 68 years, I have never been one for jewelry. Since my mom died, my sister and I split many things, including of course her jewelry. My sister started getting jewelry for herself when she was a teenager and knows a lot about it, I now know she got the better pieces out of my mom's jewelry box, I picked the ones that had more memories and looked like they were antiques. I have learned so much from you that I have been getting blue boxes to have fun in playing the game "is it valuable or not". Still learning and enjoying your channel a lot. Thank you, Dr. Lori!!!!

Dr. Lori your knowledge is amazing! I love your sense of humor also. I just found $400 dollars or so of gold and silver in a bag of junk jewelry that I bought from two guys who clean out houses. I bought it for crafts, but my parents were antique dealers for many years and my dad was always buying junk jewelry for gold so I have some knowledge. The intricate clasps aren't usually found on cheap stuff.

My late FIL gave me all of my late MIL (a lady I sadly never got a chance to meet) costume jewelry. I've been the "caretaker" of the lot.
My grandniece will be graduating in 3 years. I am going to gift her the set her great grandmother wore to her grandparent's wedding.
