I also much prefer the design from the books. I don't mind the look Disney went with, but all Bane fans would likely lean towards his Orbalisk armour or his traditional dark robes and face markings. Bane was described to be a beefy guy, Disneys versions is thinner and the head for some reason is quite large. Ah well!

That's not Darth Bane according to the very TRILOGY from which Darth Bane's story is told and where his appearance is stated many times over again. He has 3 different appearances that are explained very clearly in the trilogy and they do NOT match that character appearance shown in that book OR IN THE STAR WARS CLONE WARS TV SHOW which is where this false appearance of Bane got started.

Those books are too cool. Darth Bane in the books is the real Darth Bane. Cool af. Canon is irrelevant. Dave Filoni says that George always considered only the movies and the clone wars to be canon, in his head. Head canon is real canon, and in my head, Darth Bane is the character in Drew Karpyshan’s books.
