Toucan Gets a new beak using 3d printer in Mexico

This toucan lost its beak during an unclear accident and was recovered by the wild animal protection agency in Mexico. A group of Veterinarians from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM) in coolaboration with the Hospital Veterinario Xalapa decided to apply current 3d printing technologies to the solution.

The beak was 3d printed using ABS and glued to the beak using an acrylic resin. The video is from its first release after having the beak restored
