Members of Congress should not have received ppp loans. That said, they should have repaid the loans.

No surprise, they are absolutely shameless and hypocritical.

I would like to see a list of all politicians that had PPP loans forgiven along with the amounts each received.

How? How did these people get loans for that amount? How?!! I’m a business owner with my husband, we had to show we lost money to even qualify and it had to be a certain percent. How did these guys do what they did and receive that much? It’s extremely concerning to me.

MTG, Matt etc. pay back the money you got to pay off your loan. Hypocrites, so maddening.

They are so corrupt. Start doing work instead of complaining about everything.

I'd rather have my tax money go to needy than to the rich to line their pockets even more.

'The danger of moral bankruptcy' coming from these people is beyond laughable if they were only candidates, but they actually hold office, that's hyper ridiculous.

Why aren't the hell the news networks calling out these hypocrites? Make their shame public. Call them out on every major network, not making this public is actually journalism at its worst.

These two cannot be shamed. Seems to be a trait among most in GOP.

I paid my own way through college and grad school (to a Master's degree) and therefore had no student loans to hamper my move into independence. But I don't begrudge this loan repayment at all. No one in my family will receive a dime, so I am not personally affected. College is too expensive now, far more than it cost me 40 years ago. So I'm glad some of my tax money will help these students with the overwhelming burden of this debt. Now, I do resent my tax dollars that went to MTG et al. (regardless of party affiliation) for PPP loans during the pandemic and were then subsequently dismissed. Many, many of those businesses were the largest and the pandemic's effect was minimal on their profits. So MTG, offer to pay back the PPP loans you took out and I'll have a smidgen of respect for you. Is there a measurement smaller than a smidgen?

I worked a full time job and went to school full time (12 units per semester). I worked from 7PM to 3:30AM Sunday through Thursday. I had classes starting at 8AM. I paid for my own schooling and graduated. I am proud of that.

I am all for school loans. I am all for programs that help the poor get money for school. I support all higher education. Smarter people make smarter Americans. I FULLY support student loan forgiveness. Students that meet the criteria, are not getting their entire loans wiped out, only a portion. Does it bother me, that they are getting a portion of their loan wiped out? NOT ONE BIT!

The republicans that complain about it, but took PPP loan forgiveness is just plain disgusting! But, I guess that is the state of today's republican party.

All the republicans who took ppp money, need to pay it back before they open their pie holes.
