I think the MacGuffin is Palpatine's sith holocron that the heroes are trying to get to before Kylo. The holocron houses a great secret about the force.

The trailer was insane! I think the Rise of Skywalker is referring more to Legacy if anything I’m not thinking that Abrams will directly retcon anything too heavily.

I see people taking issue with the mask but I agree with Dennis it looks cool and if he’s gonna commit to full Dark side might as well look the part. We also don’t know who is rebuilding it.

Finally regarding Palpatine’s return I couldn’t be happier. I don’t think it’s going to be a full return so much as to undermine his death in VI, but more of a lingering presence representing the great power and remaining threat of the Dark Force.

I hope we get the #KnightsOfRen in #TheRiseOfSkywalker
