Tengo un bass bose companion 3 pero no se como funciona

I have bose companion 3 series 2 but i dont have the control pod, is there any way i can use it, when i short the pins in the second row (row in which only 2 pins are present) speaker starts but volume is very low, can you please help and tell how can i use them without the control pod.

sir sira din yung companion 3 namin. wala sound output. pero ok nman power at yung control pod nya. kasi pag sinaksakan ng earphone meron nman sound.
