You should get your hands on the Russian Clone called the Mega Drive X, it also has the model 3 design but the case is white like a dreamcast instead of the normal black color.

Technical stuff: i think the alien is based on the Gen3. The black blob may be a FPGA or something. So the Gen3 has an older FPGA Firmware version.
