A little tribute (made on a 3 hour whim hence the odd glitch) to one of my fave non-romantic pairings. Personally Chapuys is the father Mary should have had but there you go...I just hope that the show doesn't follow history (when does it?) and he leaves in 1545 =/

finally! a chapuys/Mary vid! I love this couple, whilst i love the fanfics when they're romantically involved, i love the father/ daughter pairing too, he's always there for her. i'll be so upset when he leaves or worst still, the writers kill him on screen

Chapuys is the father Mary should have had. and if they kill him or follow history THIS TIME and have him in his departure during kat parr I will cry really I fell in love with his character in season three and my sweet lady ahh it made me cry he really does make me cry, plus the more I have read of him more my fic I realize he was a complex and really mysterious man, probably the only voice of reason as someone pointed in this thread.

Gosh... Every time people say Chapuys is the father Mary should have had I feel like some sort of sick pervert for seeing them as a romantic pair rather than a father-daughter type... Yet, considering the times and how Mary is so very mature for her age, you cannot blame me for dreaming...

Oh, that was lovely! You're so right. Sadly in those days, when you were of royal blood, you never really got to have the father you were born to. I've always liked Chapuys in the show. He's like the last voice of reason left alive, though I fear that they've been forshadowing his death in the last few episodes with how infirm they've made him suddenly.

@RaphaelTudors Well considering they killed off Henry Fitzroy at such a early age...I can see them killing him off early :( I hope they don't though and stick to history this time round...it would much less heartbreaking.

@dbvixxen He doesn't exactly die until way into Mary's reign. However he did leave England in 1545 due to health reasons. Either way, whether they decide to prematurely kill him off or not, I reckon its gonna be heartbreaking :(

Oh, that was so wonderful! I hated Katherine for being mean to Mary and just fell in love with Chapuys for comforting Mary. This is one of my favorite non-romantic pairings, too :D Great job!
