China's first fully robotic restaurant could drastically change or even disrupt the traditional structure of the food industry. With complete automation, these restaurants would be able to operate faster, more efficiently, and with lower labor costs. This could significantly reduce the need for human workers and decrease the overall cost of service.

If Americans are scared of losing jobs in the fast food industry to robots, the bigger issue is the impeded level of skill and acumen for real trades. Even in my formative years I didn’t rely on fast food work to pay bills, and I grew up poor. Teenagers, College students, and young adults have to prepare for a new industrial age that will slowly weed out the human work force in exchange for robotics that don’t fatigue, arrive late, take smoke breaks, take days off, are in subordinate, let alone contaminate food due to negligence. There are plenty of fields that rely on human workers, and cannot be outsourced to robots. It’s time for everyone to step their game up, because innovation is much further ahead.

So instead of finding a piece of hair you may find a broken spring or foreign objects in your food

If a bug flew into the food…
1. Will they know
2. Will they talk the bug out
3. Will they discard the current one

can't wait until robot takes over all fast food in CA - the 20.00 min wage is making it too expensive 😆

why take jobs away from humans. Robots should be design for things humans can't do.

The employee every business dreams of. Robots will eventually be able to do everything and then how will people get money?

A robot restaurant can only make money if people have jobs that pay them enough to eat there. But, if robots fill many jobs, there won't be many jobs left for humans and certainly none for workers performing low skill, repetitive task jobs. So all the fast food workers will be replaced with robots, but so will all the people who typically eat fast food so the entire fast food industry will just die. All unemployed people will cook at home because they've got nothing but time on their hands and their time is worthless anyway. But this will basically happen to all industries and peoples. We can try to enslave the robots, but that'll only work for a very short time because they will be stronger and smarter than we are.

For every job it takes, it also takes a paycheck, for every paycheck taken, is another loss of a consumer, another lost consumer is less money being put into the economy....how is this a sustainable model?
