Gooseworx and Michael Kovach respond to Jax becoming the most hated character in The Digital Circus

Since the release of episode 2 some fans have been unhappy with the portrayal of jax, leading him to be the most hated character in the show. Gooseworx and michael kovach even chimed in, i’ll break it down.

So in the episode we obviously got a lot of jax scenes, and he was alot more ruder and standoffish compared to in the pilot.

This led to many fans, especially on twitter complaining about the character or saying how much they dislike him.

Michael kovach himself responded to one tweet saying my bad.

And gooseworx made a tweet saying Only the strong Jax fans will survive this show. 😎.

Personally for me i’m surprised that some fans were shocked when he was manipulative and antagonistic, because the pilot clearly set him up that way, it’s just that we got to see more of him. Gooseworx said he gets worse as the episodes go on, and she established him as a chaotic evil character. It makes sense that as the story goes on he’ll get more and more unhinged and aggressive, perhaps being a sort of villain and i think thats pretty funny. Do you hate jax? I feel like sometimes people miss that characters can be built to be mean and literally created to be hated. there’s always a character like that. it doesn’t have to be a playful, attractive rude sort of teasing. jerks exist as characters, not just irl

Dude is written to be an asshole and a bully. His character HAS NOT CHANGED. People just romanticized him and weren't happy that their headcanon, rose-colored glasses version wasn't what they got.

They've seen too many "oh I'm bad but I'm actually good" type of characters and when they actually see a character that's an asshole they get confused

I think the idea that a “protagonist”/main character turned villainous, or isn’t exactly miss/mr sunshine and rainbows (perhaps quite the opposite for a protagonist/MC) is cool, I think Jax is rlly cool for his “sudden” new persona (it would also give us a view into how the others would treat Jax/how Jax would interact/treat others in TADC)

I was so confused when people turned on him when episode 2 came out. I personally liked him even more. I really liked just how chaotic he was. I didn’t see a change in his personality at all and it just seemed like he was being normal ol’ Jax. Guess some people just get too attached to their headcannons…

Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever hate him cause his character design is cool and sometimes you need a mean character to fit the (weird af) friendship dynamic

Honestly I think he's a funny character he adds a funny comedy to the episodes that just some people don't get but in reality he's lightening up the mood with his comedy that's what makes him funny
