i love how he is really the only host that let's people talk. Almost all of the other popular TV hosts just keep interrupting or rushing their guests to talk. Graham always makes his guests feel comfortable and that is what makes a great talk show

The reason why Graham is so great it's that it is never about him. It's all about the guests. Michael Parkinson (UK) thought it was all about him. Guests appearing on HIS show. And this is true for a lot of hosts in the UK and the US. But in actuality it is Graham that makes this work. The man is a genius. He has made a programme which is an utter joy to watch. His guests know they are there to party and aside from a recent appearance by Madonna, they all relax and are themselves. The Americans also love the alcohol and the fact that we are allowed to swear on air. More often than not the mix on the sofa is a magical coming together of actors and singers and nothing appears rehearsed. It is all of this which makes Graham not just a National treasure but an International one.
