Here Today, Gone Tomorrow (Covered by The Hawkbirds)

Показать описание
The Hawkbirds covering the Ramones track, “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow”.
The song, written by Joey Ramone, was released in 1977, on their album Rocket To Russia. The title, Here Today, Gone Tomorrow”, explains the sense of fleeting moments and the bittersweet nature of relationships. With its melodic blend of punk energy and chilling lyrics, the song reflects on love and loss, emphasizing the difficulties of maintaining connections with a partner. The poignant composition contrasts with the Ramones’ signature raw sound, showcasing a more vulnerable side of the band, while still retaining their iconic spirit. Even their choice of chords evokes a dark, deep emotional response. It's a powerful reminder that everything we cherish can vanish in an instant.
Lyrics…
🎶 Oh, oh, oh…. Oh, oh, oh, I love you
Oh, oh, oh, oh… Oh oh oh, I love you
I do, I do
Oh, oh, oh…. Oh, oh, oh, I love you
Oh, oh, oh, oh… Oh oh oh, I love you
I do, I do
I told you why we just can't make it
I want you still but just can't take it
The time has come we ought to break it
Someone had to pay the price
Oh, oh, oh…. Oh, oh, oh, it’s over.
Oh, oh, oh, oh… Oh oh oh, O-over
It's true, it's true
Oh, oh, oh…. Oh, oh, oh, it’s over.
Oh, oh, oh, oh… Oh oh oh, O-over
It's true, it's true
And I think of times we were together
As time went on, it seemed forever
But times have changed, now things are better
Someone had to pay the price
And I think of times we were together
As time went on, it seemed forever
But times have changed now things are better
Someone had to pay the price. 🎶
Brown Bear, clearly pretending, acts out the song on the shelf, by facing away from Rose, his soulmate. Certainly, he deserves an Oscar for his performance as he would never do anything to hurt his one-and-only. ❤️🧸🐇❤️
From the first time we practiced this song, to the finished mixed track was less than 2 days… It was recorded on 10/26/24 in our basement studio, on 6 separate tracks (vocals, lead guitar, bass guitar, bass drum, toms/snare, and cymbals) using a Zoom H6 audio interface, and mixed with GarageBand. A new pair of Sennheiser HD-660S2 headphones, and an AudioEngine DAC3 amplifier, are helping to balance the sound highlight and each instrument during the mixing process. All of the different speakers out there, from phone and TVs to HiFi systems and monitors all sound unique, but with your help, we can smooth it all out. Thank you so much for all of your feedback, which continues to help us reproduce better sound. Keep your comments coming!
