Abstract:
Jim will illuminate the impact AI is having in R&D across chemistry, biology and clinical science at AstraZeneca to inspire other life science leaders and data practitioners. He will share lessons learned about the promise, pitfalls and progress in the application of AI to help analyse and interpret huge quantities of data at all stages of drug discovery and development with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the diseases we want to treat, identifying new targets for novel medicines, driving personalised medicine strategies, and speeding up the way we design and develop and make new drugs.
