Nash, Shawn, and Hall were prime PrimaDonna's at the time and I can absolutely see where Bret would be coming from. And as someone else said Bret probably didn't trust Nash not to hurt him. Fact is, ultimately, this match, iirc, was the one where Nash admits it's his best match of his career because Bret carried him.

The Hitman was top 3 for me. Undertaker & Shawn Michaels are the other 2. I know 2 of the 3 were hated by many but these stories will never weaken my fandom. I don’t think anyone could truly take over that role of head huncho of the locker room.
