So much of this applies to *every* career, not just content creatives. From politicians to software engineers to accounting clerks to mechanics, finding one's styles and skills, and always improving them, is so much more important that thinking "if I just use X, then Y will happen, and I don't have to spend the rest of my life/career learning and growing".

I refuse to accept Nickelback as an example of success.

I want to thank you to remind me not stopping to improve. I also want to mention, that one never stops developing it's personality, don't you think?

Thank you, I appreciated your ideas and comments. The last point is very important to me. I have to stay humble, understand and execute the notion that I always have something new to learn. 🎉🎉🎉

Absolutely love this channel! Love audio especially as someone who grew up around and wants to pursue music even as a hobby. Not only as a consumer, but creator I think the getting comfortable in my own skin and that I'm usually the reason my content doesn't perform as good. It kind of hit as it's something I know likely is a solid reason. I'm very humble and big on not comparing myself to others as I'm on my own timeline, but I'm always analyzing ways to improve. For me to only grow 3, 600(ish) followers in like 2 and a half years is really a hurt sometimes. I never expected to get this far and hit some crazy numbers and goals. Nonetheless, noticing a sit still with no recent substantial progress means I def gotta implement the two things mentioned aside more consistency and studying. Great video!

Though I agree with most of what you've said, I do wonder at the formulaic nature of things. If you keep giving people what they think they want to hear, how will they hear anything new? How will they learn or grow?

It's so weird, hearing the sm58, the workhorse of live music for the last 50 years, talked about like it's a budget bin alternative.

A YouTuber I watched for years bought a new mic and then had her recording level set too high so all the peaks distorted, which is very uncomfortable when listening on headphones. Along with other people I posted a comment about it a couple of times in a constructive way but nothing was done. In the end I had to stop watching anymore. She has probably done 50 videos like this now. As you say, not the equipment, the technique.
