I found this cute little restaurant in the very heart of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland

Look how cool it looks like! So traditional. For me

And I decided to go for 3 courses meal

The first thing appeared on the table - local bread with local butter! I tried. I liked. So much

Next we have a starter: marinated salmon with pickles - strange but so tasty!

Then the main course… slow cooked lamb with root vegetables. Potatoes, carrots, beetroot..
honestly? Fantastic! So delicious!

And then the dessert.. home made browny with vanilla ice cream and absolutely gorgeous caramel sauce… to die for!

And then … hmmm let’s have a look at the bill

What we have here? Aha! 10,590 Icelandic Krona . Which is about $73

I live in Iceland it’s really cool you should really visit Husavik we have wheels and everything I live there sometimes even wake up to Wales in the middle of the night but you could also go to vestmaneyjar (icelandic) halló þú ættir að prófa að fara til húsavik ég bý þar þar eru hvalir stundum vakna ég um miðja nótt við hvalina mæli líka með því að fara til eyja eða vestmaneyja

I treated myself to such a delightful dinner at that very restaurant last year. It was worth every kroner. Excellent service. Amazing food. I'll visit again!

You can also have a bowl of pho nearby for very little money. Or but food from the market and save. Iceland is expensive, butthe kindness of the people, the safety of the overall environment, andthe spectacular scenery make everybit of it worth the price.

yes its a funny thing that this little island called Iceland with around 360.000 people is one of the top most expensive country in the world... It´s a shame!

I've eaten here and had the lamb and brownie 😄. Delicious. My favourite is at the old bus station food hall. Amazing quality food and wine there
